About Lantern Leap
Lantern Leap is a one-button endless runner set in a dreamy night forest. You play a little paper lantern spirit that runs on its own along a moonlit path. Your only job is to jump: tap the screen, click the mouse or press Space to leap over glowing crystals that sprout from the ground. The first seconds are gentle and teach the rhythm, and every obstacle is visible well before it reaches you, so each mistake is yours and never the game's.
As you travel further the path becomes livelier. Wider crystal rows appear, and after a few hundred metres tall stone totems rise from the ground. A single jump will not clear them, but a second tap in mid-air launches a double jump that carries you over. Speed grows very slowly, a tiny bit every few seconds, so you always have time to adapt. Gaps between obstacles shrink gradually, yet never below a safe landing window.
You start with three hearts. A bump costs one heart and gives you a short moment of protection, so one slip does not end the run. Floating fireflies hang above the obstacles and along the path: collect twelve of them to heal a heart, and every five hundred metres the night rewards you with another heart. Distance and fireflies both add to your score, and your best run is saved on your device.
Lantern Leap works on phones, tablets and desktop browsers in portrait and landscape. Short runs, instant restarts and a calm glowing soundtrack make it a perfect quick break. Can you carry your lantern past two thousand five hundred metres?
