Glimmer Grove Words

Glimmer Grove Words is a cozy word puzzle that mixes a letter wheel with a crossword grid. A ring of glowing letter tiles sits at the bottom of the screen, and an empty crossword waits above it. Drag your finger or mouse across the tiles to spell a word, and let go to send it. If the word belongs in the grid, the letters fly up from the wheel and settle into their squares. Crossing words share letters, so every answer you find gives you a head start on the next one.

The adventure has 48 hand-tuned levels that grow from tiny three-letter wheels to seven-letter wheels with big, interlocking grids. As you climb, the background travels through six painted areas: a dawn meadow, a lantern forest, a crystal cave, a moonlit lake, an ember hollow and a snowy peak. Words that are real but not part of the grid count as bonus words and earn extra points, and every five bonus words reward you with a free hint.

Stuck? Shuffle the wheel to see the letters from a fresh angle, or spend a hint to reveal one letter in the grid. When you run out of hints, you can watch an optional ad to get one for free. Each level awards up to three stars, and solving without hints earns the most. A new daily puzzle appears every day, and playing on consecutive days builds a streak.

On a computer you can also type the letters on your keyboard, press Enter to submit, Backspace to undo and Space to shuffle. The game works on phones, tablets and desktop browsers, in portrait or landscape. It is a relaxing brain teaser for anyone who loves anagrams, crosswords and vocabulary games.
