Netherton Volleyball

Netherton Volleyball is a quick pixel-art volleyball game in which you call the shots for a whole six-versus-six team. The idea is summed up in the line "Tap on green, spike over the block, win the cup!" You time your taps to serve, pass, dig and block, then pick your hitter, because each player's ring colour shows the chance to score. The first match teaches you as you play, so you can start without reading a long manual.

Your players level up after every match and learn new moves, from quick sets and pipes to jump serves and diving saves. The campaign is an 18-team ladder, with each rival team having its own style, and it ends with a best-of-five final where you try to lift the cup. Matches are short and follow real volleyball rules, which makes the game easy to enjoy in quick sessions while still giving you something to think about, such as which hitter to trust at a key moment.

With a mouse or touch screen, click or tap anywhere on the court when the ring turns green, and click a hitter's ring to select them. On a keyboard, press Space to tap, Q, W and E to set the front row, A, S and D to set the back row, V to challenge a line call, P to pause and M to toggle sound. It is designed for portrait screens, so it feels right on a phone.
