Rope Chef

Rope Chef is a cute physics puzzle game about cooking. Ingredients hang on ropes above a pot, and your job is to cut the ropes at exactly the right moment so each one swings, bounces or floats into the pot in the order shown on the recipe card. Get the order right and the dish is served. Cut the wrong rope or drop the wrong ingredient first and Nibbs, the steamed-bun chef, swoons dramatically.

The game offers 50 short levels spread across 14 cuisines, including Singapore hawker food, Japan, Italy, Mexico, India, Korea, France, the USA, Thailand, the Middle East, China, Vietnam, Spain and Peru. Every world adds a fresh twist to the puzzle, such as bounce pads, bubbles you have to pop, fans, a moving pot, a hot pan, portals, conveyor belts, flippers, wind, a rival chef's decoy pot, burning ropes and slippery ice. You can earn up to three stars per dish by serving it, grabbing the spice and beating the par time, and stars unlock new worlds.

A daily streak rewards regular play, a ghost line previews a swing before you commit, and you can skip a dish if you get stuck. On desktop, click or drag across a rope to cut it; on touch screens, swipe across a rope and tap bubbles to pop them. Rope Chef works on both desktop and mobile browsers, and each level is short enough for a quick break.
